This episode explores Khanda, an ambitious intercultural project led by bassist/composer Ronan Guilfoyle. It brought Tommy Halferty and leading Irish musicians together with India’s Karnataka College of Percussion, blending Irish melody, South Indian rhythm, and jazz improvisation.
The resulting suite, Five Cities, was co-written and recorded during their tour of India and stands as a powerful example of musical cross-cultural dialogue.
