"Autorretrato en Tres Colores" (Self-Portrait in Three Colours) is a deeply personal exploration of migration, resilience, and reinvention.
Blending Contemporary Jazz with South American folk traditions, this album tells a story of departure, adaptation, and transformation, capturing the emotions of leaving home, navigating a new world, and ultimately finding strength through music. The compositions, written at different stages of my journey, fuse jazz’s harmonic complexity with the rich textures of Latin American rhythms.

Having formed as the resident band in The Big Romance and playing together every Sunday since late 2018, Organ Freeman spent years building their repertoire and honing their signature sound. Seeking to capture the energy and spontaneity of their live performances in the studio, they recorded their debut album, Busywork, with the legendary Michael Buckley on tenor sax. Regarded as the most important and influential musician on the Irish jazz scene, Buckley not only lends his distinctive voice to the recording but also brings his expertise behind the scenes, engineering, mixing, and mastering the album. The result is a dynamic collection of crowd favorites from their residency alongside original compositions by Darragh and Charlie. Rooted in the rich legacy of the 1950s and ’60s jazz organ tradition, their sound blends deep musical heritage with a modern, groove-driven sensibility.

"One of the most scintillating debuts emanating from the Irish scene in years” | "90 Degrees is a storming jazz-rock, at times even, without using the word too strictly, spiritedly funky, epic of some velocity.” - Stephen Graham (JazzWise) for Marlbank
Music has a way of absorbing the places, people, and moments that shape it. Ninety Degrees is an exploration of heat and transformation, a product of movement—across cities, countries, and musical ideas—but also of stillness, the time spent letting those ideas take root. Written while living on the Atlantic coast in Kerry, Ireland, this album reflects a period of change, drawing on the fiery energy of 1970s electric jazz—think Weather Report—while incorporating the modern jazz-rock/funk/soul influences of Chris Potter Underground, Joshua Redman, Aaron Parks and Brad Mehldau.

Acclaimed as Ireland's "rising star" of jazz by The Irish Times, Charlie Moon stands out as a singular voice in the realms of cool jazz, blues, and soul jazz. Hailed by the BBC as “A very gifted young vocalist and guitarist” and often lauded as the Emerald Isle's answer to 'The Prince of Cool' Chet Baker, Moon has carved a niche for himself with a melodic guitar style that seamlessly blends rhythmically swinging bebop and blues.

Karl's fourth album of original bass-led material, 'And/Or', is a unique glimpse into the creative process. He explains: "When I compose, I usually start with a very simple set of chords that suggest a melody. When I'm happy with that melody, often I will then strip the original chords out and substitute a completely different sequence, creating a kind of eerie disjointedness between the melody and the chords which I find very appealing. In the process of doing this, I will often try out four or five different chord sequences or arrangements until I arrive at the one that best fits the mood I'm trying to create. Those other versions are no less 'valid' or interesting as pieces of music - they just weren't quite what I was looking for at that moment. On this album, I thought I would let the listener in on this process and offer an alternative version of each track and let them decide which they prefer".
