Welcome to In the Groove, a brand-new YouTube series from Jazz Ireland, where we bring you closer to the artists shaping the vibrant Irish jazz scene.

A couple of weeks ago, we had the pleasure of chatting with Kevin Brady ahead of the upcoming Kevin Brady Electric Quartet tour, featuring Seamus Blake on Tenor, Bill Carrothers on Rhodes and Dave Redmond on electric bass. Thanks so much to Kevin for taking time out of his busy schedule to speak with us!

During the interview, Kevin spoke about how he got into jazz, the upcoming tour, his album ‘Plan B’, heading back into the studio, the save Newpark initiative, the Irish scene, his upcoming plans and other projects.

Be sure to check out the upcoming tour which is kicking off on May 2nd in the Harbour Bar at Bray jazz Festival. More information about all of the dates, the album and Kevin’s other projects can be found on his website: https://kevinbrady.ie/
