Welcome to In the Groove, a brand-new YouTube series from Jazz Ireland, where we bring you closer to the artists shaping the vibrant Irish jazz scene. Recently, we had the chance to sit down with Paul Dunlea to talk about some of his ongoing projects, including his Big Band which will performing in the Sugar Club later in the year. Look out for tickets when they’re released as they’re sure to go fast! Massive thank you to Paul for taking the time out of his busy schedule to chat with us!
During the interview, Paul spoke about getting into music through marching bands in Cork, the long running Crane Lane jam session, the Cork Jazz Festival, his ongoing projects, his upcoming plans and the Irish scene.
