Welcome to In the Groove, a brand-new YouTube series from Jazz Ireland, where we bring you closer to the artists shaping the vibrant Irish jazz scene. Recently, we had the opportunity to chat with Stella Bass about her upcoming series of original music releases. First out is an original Big Band track “Time To Fly” which will be released on August 28th and performed live by the Hot House Big Band in the Tolka House on the 31st. A huge thank you Stella for taking the time to chat with us!
During the interview, Stella spoke about how she got into music, her experience with composition and production, the original music releases she has planned for this year, her ongoing projects, including Stella sings Ella and Let's Misbehave: The Essential Cole Porter Songbook, and the Irish scene.
