The Dirty Jazz club have been a massive part of the Dublin Jazz scene for around 15 years. Their focus is on the exploration and deconstruction of songs and an emphasis on creating a depth and textural soundscape on the melody, form and feel of the tunes.

The Nigel Price Organ Trio, nominated for the 2021 Parliamentary Jazz Award for 'Best ensemble' (they won in 2010) and winners of the 2016 British Jazz Award for ‘Best Small Group’ will be playing selections from their vast back catalogue as well as the recently released and critically acclaimed album ‘It’s On!’

The Genuine Jazz Orchestra is a 17-piece Jazz Big Band, committed to bringing a new energy and passion to the music of Count Basie, Quincy Jones, Gil Evans, and other Big Band legends. Led by drummer Ben Cooper and multi-instrumentalist Podge Kilbride, our members share a hunger to preserve and energize the tradition of large jazz ensemble music. The band's personnel comprises a heady cocktail of nationally renowned jazz soloists, along with rising stars of the Dublin jazz scene. Featuring guest vocalist Charlie Moon, the Genuine Jazz Orchestra represents an exciting new addition to the vanguard of Irish jazz.

This class is suitable for complete beginners but will also have something for those with some dance experience. In this class you will learn classic jazz steps, fun routines, how to play with the music, and how to put solo jazz in to your partner swing dancing.

Fabian Willmann and his trio with Jeff Ballard on drums and Arne Huber on bass are "casually celebrating the beauty of melody" (thatjazz).

They strip the music down to the essentials, yet with something to say in every breath, devoid of any chatter, redundancy, or showing off.

Sean Hession's early affinity with Frank Sinatra and the Big Band era forged an introduction to performing. Accruing vast professional experience and a wide-ranging repertoire of classic standards (800 +) spanning the 20's to the '60s, he is well known for his uncanny resemblance to the sound of Sinatra.

Nigel Mooney, widely regarded as one of Ireland's leading jazz singers and guitarists, is back for his annual Christmas show at Scott's Jazz Club on 12th of December. A charismatic figure on the Dublin jazz and blues scenes since the early 1980's, his Gripewater Blues Band spearheaded the blues movement in Ireland and drew many fans of both jazz and the blues.
