Organ Freeman – Irish jazz organ trio

Organ Freeman specialises in the music of the bebop and hard bop idioms of the early 1950s and 60s. Playing standards by composers such as Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins, Wayne Shorter, and many more in the classic organ trio format.

A lively fun Sunday jazz session in our beergarden, this weekly event offers a relaxed end-of-weekend, with the space to bop along too! With influences including Django Reinhardt, Stéphane Grappelli, Oscar Peterson and a plethora of many other jazz giants, Pinky Trolley bring a classic approach to equally classic music.

Our weekly jazz club curated by MOBO nominated drummer David Lyttle. The best Irish and International Jazz musicians, in the intimate setting of our upstairs bar. This week features Jorge Vistel (Cuba).

Guitarist, composer, educator and author, Mike Nielsen is noted for his innovative performances and research. He has shared the stage with many international stars including Dave Liebman, Larry Coryell, Joe Lovano, Kenny Werner, Kenny Wheeler, Dominique Di Piazza and Paul Wertico. As a soloist he has toured extensively and opened for John McLaughlin in Vicar St. on his first visit to Dublin.

Just like Django Reinhardt’s quintessential gypsy jazz band of the 1930’s, the ‘Quintette du Hot Club de France’, the Tenters are a 5-piece jazz band following in the footsteps of the greats with their lineup of viola, bass and 3 guitars.

Live Jazz Jam Session in the heart of Cork City every Thursday from 9pm. Hosted by a house band of some of Cork’s finest jazzers & humans. All are welcome to participate for a tune or two. If that’s not your bag then simply take in the atmosphere with some food & refreshments served until late.

Patrice Brun is a French saxophonist, established in Ireland since the late 90’s, and has been an active member of the jazz scene since the early 2000’s, leading his own groups, quartet and sextet formats.

Released in 1969, In a Silent Way marked a pivotal moment in jazz history, introducing a fusion of jazz, rock, and ambient sounds. Featuring an all-star lineup—including Wayne Shorter, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, John McLaughlin, and Joe Zawinul - the album is a masterclass in mood and texture. With its electric instrumentation and atmospheric approach, In a Silent Way laid the foundation for the jazz fusion movement, influencing generations of musicians. 

A revolving roster of jazz and blues acts featuring some of Ireland's finest musicians from Richie Buckley and Chris Comhaill to Ben Prevo and Karl Clews. Expect fabulous music as the perfect backdrop to your Saturday afternoon.

The Definitive Rat Pack are best known as the original Westend cast members of The Rat Pack – Live from Las Vegas who have now created their own and more personal show, they return to the National Concert Hall on Saturday Jan 17th 2025.
