Join us as we step back into the raucous swing dancing era of the 1930’s. If you’ve never tried swing dance before this is the perfect opportunity to dip your toe with a fun beginners class to start the night.  

The class will be followed by an evening of socialising and social dancing with Dublin’s famously friendly swing dance community . The live hot jazz for your listening and dancing pleasure will be provided by the best swing bands in Ireland.

Imelda Kehoe is known for her distinctive voice, story-telling and blend of jazz and soul and has been described as ‘one of the finest Irish contemporary songwriters to emerge in recent years’. 

And because Imelda treats a song as an emotional whole and can capture the joyful essence of what it feels like to love and be loved, it follows that she is the perfect fit for the annual Jazz at Johnstown Valentine’s concert on Saturday, February 14th.

2025 Mercury Prize ‘Album of the Year’ nominee Joe Webb is one of the UK's most captivating young pianists. Fresh off the back of the success of their debut album, Hamstrings & Hurricanes, Joe's trio will be performing music from the record as well as premiering brand-new material.

Echoes of the South weaves together the sensual sounds of bossa nova, the fiery energy of samba, the melancholic elegance of tango, and the expressive freedom of jazz. Homage is paid to iconic composers such as Jobim, Piazolla, Menescal, and Buarque, with original and imaginative arrangements.

Grab a pizza and a pint and enjoy some live jazz provided by some of Dublin's finest musicians. Expect tunes by the likes of Herbie Hancock, Weather Report and Sun Ra.

In January 1975, piano virtuoso Keith Jarrett played in Köln, Germany, an improvised concert which became one of the biggest selling solo jazz records of all time, selling over 4 million copies.
