This is likely to be the last chance an Irish audience will get to see Marsalis and The Orchestra perform together after the recent announcement that Marsalis is to step down from his role as head of Jazz at The Lincoln Center in 2027 after nearly 40 years.

Last year we worked closely with Bangor jazz keyboard player Zak Irvine, who returns for a headline show in the Court House on 30th August. This year we’re working with local young jazz and soul singer MADI McCullough, whose voice and stage presence are winning her a growing following. You can see MADI during her festival residency.

Jim Doherty has gathered together some of the musicians who worked closely with Louis to pay tribute to his memory.
