Darragh Hennessy has been active over the last few years as a sideman on the Dublin jazz scene, but with this new project he takes on the role of leader/composer. His debut album 'Duchenne Smile' features Darragh on organ joined by regular collaborators Julien Colarossi on guitar and Gonzalo del Val on drums.
Rising Belfast keyboardist Scott Flanigan has been a frequent and very welcome visitor at the Sofa Sessions over the last few years, but he's usually playing his Hammond organ with guitarists like Jimmy Smyth and Tommy Halferty. Here's a chance to hear Scott at the piano, playing standards from the great American songbook, accompanied by leading Dublin bassist Dave Redmond and Sofa Sessions house drummer and curator Cormac Larkin.
