This is likely to be the last chance an Irish audience will get to see Marsalis and The Orchestra perform together after the recent announcement that Marsalis is to step down from his role as head of Jazz at The Lincoln Center in 2027 after nearly 40 years.

Last year we worked closely with Bangor jazz keyboard player Zak Irvine, who returns for a headline show in the Court House on 30th August. Linley Hamilton is a world-class musician and a Dr. of Jazz Performance, and this is a chance to hear his own music in his own unique style. The quartet featuring the talents of Linley Hamilton (trumpet), Scott Flanigan (piano), Rohan Armstrong (bass) and Miles Ronayne (drums) will be playing music that featured on his six albums with a slant towards post-bop jazz with Linley’s melodic and lyrical approach to the fore.

Let MADI introduce you to sound and rhythm through her eyes… Blending jazz with Afrobeat, Latin rhythms, and a touch of reggae, this set aims to widen your appreciation for world groove.

The Dirty Jazz club have been a massive part of the Dublin Jazz scene for around 15 years. Their focus is on the exploration and deconstruction of songs and an emphasis on creating a depth and textural soundscape on the melody, form and feel of the tunes.

Although at home in a variety of musical styles, Trombonist/Composer/Arranger Paul Dunlea concentrates primarily on Jazz and Improvisation. This has furthered his reputation as one of Ireland’s most in-demand musicians.

Kat Eaton is a Welsh-born, Sheffield-raised and Yorkshire-based soul/r&b artist.

Having already released 2 critically acclaimed albums, toured the UK/EU supporting the likes of Jools Holland, Gregory Porter, Paul Carrack, The Teskey Brothers, Marc Broussard and Mamas Gun, alongside selling out multiple headline shows, co-writing with the likes of Caro Emerald, Ruby Turner and Roberta Campos, and breaking through to new territories via national radio play worldwide (BBC 2, 4 & 6 and Jazz FM in UK plus NPO 1, 2 & 5 in The Netherlands, Radio2 in Belgium, FIP in France and National German TV), Kat has established herself as one of the hardest working and talented Soul/Jazz performers in her field.
