Our weekly jazz club curated by MOBO nominated drummer David Lyttle. The best Irish and International Jazz musicians, in the intimate setting of our upstairs bar. This week features Sarah Hanahan (USA).

Short blurb: Emergent Ensemble is a new, Dublin-based jazz quintet celebrating the Hard Bop era through electrifying, expressive live performances of under-appreciated gems from the most prolific period in jazz history.

Deriving from Ireland’s original Guinness Jazz Band, so popular in the 80’s and 90’s, they have played major jazz festivals, and jazz clubs throughout Europe, with regular performances in Germany, Scandinavia, the UK, and Ireland.

The Finnegan Howell Quintet began ten years ago at the Brevard Jazz Institute, where Zachary Finnegan and Markus Howell first met as students. Even then, the musical connection was immediate. A decade later, after building international careers on the world’s biggest stages, the desire to create something together never left.
