MADI
Supporting young emerging artists is one of the most exciting aspects of what we do. Last year we worked closely with Bangor jazz keyboard player Zak Irvine, who returns for a headline show in the Court House on 30th August. This year we’re working with local young jazz and soul singer MADI McCullough, whose voice and stage presence are winning her a growing following. You can see MADI during her festival residency.
Remembering Louis Stewart
It is now 10 years since the passing of Ireland’s greatest-ever jazz musician, guitarist Louis Stewart. Jim Doherty has gathered together some of the musicians who worked closely with Louis to pay tribute to his memory. These include Dave Fleming, bass, Myles Drennan, drums, Richie Buckley, sax, and singer Honor Heffernan.
