Goliath Music NI are delighted to present The Caolan Hutchinson Quartet on Sunday 8th February 2026 at The Black Box.
Caolan Hutchinson is a Belfast‑based pianist whose playing blends a deep grounding in the jazz tradition with a fresh, contemporary approach. A graduate of DCU’s renowned jazz performance programme, he has honed his craft under the guidance of celebrated mentors including American piano icon Fred Hersch.
For this performance, Caolan leads a dynamic quartet showcasing both his own original compositions and inventive takes on well‑loved standards. Joining him are three standout musicians: Michael Barkley on trumpet, Rohan Armstrong on double bass and James Anderson on drums.
Expect an afternoon of exciting original compositions, reimagined standards, and modern Irish jazz at its most engaging.

The Black Box is housed in a Grade II listed building on Hill Street in the Historical Cathedral Quarter of Belfast, originally constructed c. 1850 and converted into its current usage as an arts venue in 2006.
