Goliath Music NI presents… ‘Bossa Nova: Celebrating Brazilian Jazz’. Goliath Music NI is a Belfast based not-for-profit promoter of live Jazz & Blues gigs in Northern Ireland.
This project, developed specifically for Culture Night 2025 @culturenightbelfast, features the award-winning songwriter & vocalist Kristine Mills, known for her authentic but modern styling of the full spectrum of Brazilian music. Her mentor, the late great Oscar Castro Neves, helped her to develop her interpretation of Bossa Nova and Samba and present it to a world-wide audience.
Kristine’s third album ‘bossanovafied’ received international acclaim, radio play and featured in the in-flight playlists of several international airlines.
Journey into the heart of Brazil’s most iconic jazz genre - expect an afternoon of smooth grooves and famous melodies. ‘Bossa Nova: Celebrating Brazilian Jazz’ features Kristine Mills on vocals, Baz McCrudden on keyboard, Rohan Armstrong on bass and Matt McCrudden on drums.
Expect an evening of smooth grooves, timeless classics and modern interpretations.
This project is artist-led by Belfast based saxophonist Barry McCrudden and drummer Matt McCrudden.

The Black Box is housed in a Grade II listed building on Hill Street in the Historical Cathedral Quarter of Belfast, originally constructed c. 1850 and converted into its current usage as an arts venue in 2006.
