Kevin Lawlor presents ‘Cluster Funk’

Cluster Funk led by renowned jazz drummer and educator Kevin Lawlor will perform jazz and groove music by artists including Thundercat, Norah Jones, Andre 3000, Mark Guliana, Erykah Badu, Jorja Smith, Terrace Blanchard, Robert Glasper and more… The band also use well known Hip Hop grooves with Jazz standards played over them as an alternative take on jazz fusion. Expect everything from Organ driven Funk to Ambient Jazz.

Kevin Lawlor is an established jazz drummer, educator and Composer with 5 independent jazz albums released to date. Chris Colloton is a celebrated jazz guitarist with many headline performances as well as support roles in the Irish Jazz Scene. Kaelan Zipoli is an Award Winning graduate of DCU Jazz and Contemporary Music and performed at London Jazz Festival in 2023. Meg Lowney is a bass player, songwriter and producer currently Studying at IADT. Sophia Zipoli has recently performed headline shows at Johnstown Jazz Festival and for UNESCO International Jazz Day 2024.
