The Two Five Ones Release New Live Single 'Take It All Away'

The Two Five Ones have released their latest single, Take It All Away (Live at The Sugar Club), capturing the atmosphere and energy of a live performance recorded before a packed audience at one of the city's best-known music venues.

Recorded on 21 February 2026 during the duo's appearance as special guests of singer-songwriter and broadcaster Tommy Keyes, the release showcases a more upbeat side of The Two Five Ones' sound. While the group are often associated with warm jazz-infused songwriting and laid-back acoustic textures, Take It All Away introduces a lively swing feel driven by movement, rhythm and emotional intensity.

Written by Dara MacGabhann with musical arrangement by Andy Hogg, the song explores the emotional fallout of infidelity and the breakdown of a relationship. Despite its difficult subject matter, the track is carried by an infectious groove and the spontaneity of a live performance.

Speaking about the song, Dara and Andy explain:

"This is a true story – thankfully not about either of us! It captures the instant emotion felt on discovering your live-in lover has cheated on you."

Rather than focusing on polished studio production, Take It All Away (Live at The Sugar Club) embraces the immediacy of the live setting, preserving the connection between performers and audience while highlighting the duo's strong musical chemistry.

The single has already received early recognition, being selected as Track of the Week on Tommy Keyes' Singer Songwriter Show on Downdaroad Radio.

Formed by Dara MacGabhann and Andy Hogg, The Two Five Ones blend elements of jazz, folk, blues and Americana into a distinctive songwriting-led sound. Built around strong melodies, storytelling and musical interplay, the duo have developed a reputation for crafting original songs that draw from a wide range of influences while maintaining a clear and recognisable identity.

Their latest release continues that approach while capturing the energy of their live performances, offering listeners a snapshot of the group's evolving sound in front of an appreciative audience.

Take It All Away (Live at The Sugar Club) is available now.
