Tommy Halferty Trio, featuring Pierrick Menuau from France, Derek Whyte on Bass with guest vocals Melanie O'Reilly
Legends of international and Irish jazz are coming together for an exceptional live performance only at Wexford Arts Centre.
Tommy Halferty, renowned for his expressive tone, rhythmic fluidity and imaginative improvisation, is one of Ireland’s most influential jazz guitarist and has been a defining presence for more than six decades.
Joining Tommy is a French saxophonist celebrated for his expansive and generous phrasing, the great Pierrick Menuau. He has founded numerous groups, including Latin Groove, the Menuau/Lofficial Quartet, the Cool Porter Septet and Don Cherry’s Gift (Mopti Quintet + Gangbé Brass Band).
Another jazz artist with an exceptional background, both in America and Ireland, is Wexford-based singer Mel O’Reilly, who will bring some vocal expertise to what is going to be an evening of jazz of the highest quality.
