Event Description

From France, saxophonist Pierrick Manuau plays with the legendary Irish guitarist Tommy Halferty

For this special concert, master guitarist Tommy Halferty introduces the great French saxophonist Pierrick Menuau, for an inspired programme of jazz standards, alongside a few lesser-known gems.

A leading figure since the late 1970s, Tommy Halferty captivates listeners with music that flows effortlessly from his fingers, his formidable technique lightly worn, allowing the essence of the music to shine through.

Meanwhile, renowned for his warm, expansive tone and restless creativity, Pierrick Menuau has long explored the edges of modern jazz while remaining deeply committed to melody. Equally at home in adventurous improvisation and the most tender ballad, his playing reflects both technical mastery and the searching mind of a gifted teacher.

They are joined by Roman Guilfoyle on bass & Brendan Doherty on drums
