Takuya Kuroda brings his genre-blurring sound to Button Factory for a special live performance celebrating his new album Everyday.
Born in Kobe, Japan and now based in New York, the acclaimed trumpeter and composer has built an international reputation through his unique fusion of jazz, funk, soul, hip hop and post-bop influences. A longtime collaborator of José James and a key figure on the legendary Blue Note label, Kuroda has become known for music that balances deep groove, atmospheric improvisation and unmistakable trumpet melodies.
His latest album Everyday continues that evolution, a warm, rhythm-driven record that explores the beauty and repetition of daily life through rich arrangements, tight musicianship and expansive, soulful production. Rooted in jazz but reaching far beyond it, the album captures the laid-back confidence and infectious energy that define Kuroda’s sound.
