Róisín Mulliez Jazz Trio with Aengus Hackett (guitar) and Dan Bodwell (double bass)
Roisín Mulliez is a jazz vocalist from and based in Galway. She has performed widely in both traditional jazz settings and creative collaborations, including JazzTempo (with the RTE ConTempo Quartet), lapestry Vocal Ensemble, and her own vocal trio, Maytlyes. Her repertoire includes classic standards, but really shines a light on lesser-known treasures from the jazz tradition.
She is joined by two of Ireland’s leading jazz musicians.
Galway guitarist Aengus Hackett, a graduate of the Conservatory of Amsterdam, has performed with many of the country’s top jazz artists and ensembles including RTÉ Contempo Quartet and Colm O’Hara 10tet. His acclaimed trio’s debut was named one of the Irish Times’ Top Irish Jazz Albums of 2024.
On double bass is Dan Bodwell, a versatile performer with training in both classical and jazz bass. Dan has performed with artists such as Louis Stewart, Mary Coughlan, and the RTE Concert Orchestra. His recent recording credits include albums with Declan O'Rourke, Sue Rynhart, and Nigel Mooney, among others.
