We're back and we've missed you! With a spring in our step we are looking forward to kicking off our 16th season!
Announcing our featured artists for this season the fabulous violinist Aoife Ní Bhriain.
Dublin born Aoife Ní Bhriain has established herself as one of the most versatile musicians of her generation. Her varied career is testament to her genre melting virtuosity. Sitting comfortably in classical, traditional and contemporary worlds. We can't wait to welcome her to Kaleidoscope Night where she will guest curate her own programme (May 7th) and premiere a collaborative commissioned work from award winning Irish composer Michael Gallen during the season.
Our first concert of the season is at our cosy Dublin 8 home, Bello Bar. We have a special evening of music planned with the finest and fearless of musicians.
First up we have a duet of piano Izumi Kimura and clarinets/sax from Marco Colonna who will be presenting original material, a preview to their upcoming recording project.
Percussionist, improviser, innovator and collaborator Matt Jacobson will be performing a rare solo set accompanied by his drums and synths in a set of original material.
To end the this evening of adventure we are thrilled to welcome back upper voice choir Dulciana directed by Judith Lyons who will present a varied programme spanning from the renaissance period right up to the present day.
