John Scofield's album 'A Go Go' remains a classic both of Scofield's discography and the modern jazz guitar canon. As well as being his first collaboration with renowned New York rhythm section 'Medeski, Martin and Wood', 'A Go Go' saw Scofield celebrate much of the American music that shaped him from funk, soul and R&B to blues and the music of New Orleans, in a series of highly distinctive compositions.
Renowned guitarist and composer Jordan Higgins has assembled a group of Dublin improvisers, based on his love for Scofield's music, who will perform the album in its entirety for one night only. Joining Jordan on the night are
