Event Description
Irish Jazz History and Archives presents Ireland’s first lady of song Honor Heffernan
Honor Heffernan needs no introduction; she has been thrilling Irish jazz audiences with her unique voice for more years than we care to remember. Her long-time partnerships with Louis Stewart, Jim Doherty and Noel Kelehan are some of the high points in the lineage of Irish jazz. Honor is sounding as great as ever and it’s a rare honour (pun intended) to get to hear her in an intimate setting performing songs from the classic jazz repertoire and beyond.
She will be backed on the night by a wonderful trio which includes her long-time bass compatriot Dave Fleming, seasoned drummer Conor Guilfoyle and the new kid on the block Luke Howard who is quickly becoming one of Ireland’s most in demand jazz pianists.
Café Du Journal located on the Crescent in Monkstown is an intimate venue with a full bar licence and is just perfect for this special event, so come and join us for a night of swinging jazz and beautiful ballads.
Please Note: While we strive to ensure all event details are accurate at the time of listing, times and other details may occasionally change. Please double-check with the venue or your ticket provider before travelling.
