A new trio, with three internationally revered innovators of contemporary music. The music is a mix of various influences including modern jazz, contemporary classical, underground hip hop and electronica. This is improvised music that ebbs and flows in a creative way, always searching for a new area to explore. Each member of the ensemble has worked in many different settings with some of the leading jazz and improvised musics performers.

Izumi Kimura is a highly acclaimed practitioner of contemporary piano music, improviser, and educator. She has performed extensively throughout Ireland and abroad as a solo, orchestral and chamber musician, and has worked with some of the leading performers and ensembles from both disciplines of classical and jazz, including RTE Symphony Orchestra, RTE Concert Orchestra, Crash Ensemble, Michael D’arcy, Ioana Petcu, Colan, Susan Doyle, Cora Venus Lunny, and many more from the world of classical music, and with jazz musicians including Tommy Halferty, Ronan Guilfoyle, Michael Buckley, Joe O'Callaghan, Oki Itaru, Makoto Sato, Benoít Delbecq, Sarah Buechi, Fuzzy Logic Ensemble and more.
Known for his unique style, Italian instrumentalist Marco Colonna has been critically acclaimed in Musica Jazz and many other publications as one of the leading woodwind players and jazz musicians in the country. Born in 1978 in Rome, he’s active as multi-instrumentalist, composer, improviser and writer, and is known for his collaboration with British pianist Alexander Hawkins exploring the music of Eric Dolphy (Dolphy Underlined, Fundacja Słuchaj!,2020), and for the seminal influence of John Coltrane on his art (he dedicated two solo albums to the great master, Playing Coltrane, Manza Nera, 2028, and Offering (Playing The Music Of John Coltrane), Niafunken/Setola Di Maiale, 2021).
Belfast-based drummer Stephen (DAKIZ) Davis mainly plays jazz and improvised music. He is the drummer in Anthony Braxton group 'The New Standard’, and active in the UK and European improvised/creative music scenes. As well as Braxton he has worked with Mark Ribot, Evan Parker, Ralph Alessi, Kris Davis, Alexander Hawkins, John Taylor, Rufus Reid, Paul Dunmall, Django Bates, Van Morrison, Matthew Bourne and many others. He is a composer and has his own projects published on Babel Label London as well as Intakt records Switzerland. Steve is an assistant lecturer at Queen’s University Belfast.
