Event Description
Drummer Eoghan McCloskey formed Emergent Ensemble after relocating to Dublin following a 25-year music career in Austin, Texas.
Inspired by the fresh energy of the Dublin jazz scene, Eoghan has brought together some of the most in-demand instrumentalists in Irish Jazz for exhilarating live interpretations of under-appreciated compositions by some of the most prolific innovators in jazz, such as Bobby Hutcherson, Lee Morgan, Freddie Hubbard, and Jackie McLean. The band's combination of high-wire musicianship and emotive expression appeals to both seasoned jazz fans and newcomers to the genre.
