Event Description

This is a band that has to be seen live... ” - Hot Press

Cooks But We’re Chefs are a 7 piece band from Dublin and Kerry. Their sound encapsulates elements of house, funk, jazz, soul and hip-hop. The trio of vocalists backed by brass, dancey beats highlights their unique musical blend. Their highly energetic show has been well received across Ireland and the UK festival circuits with slots at Electric Picnic, Latitude UK, All Together Now, Body & Soul, Cork Jazz Festival, Bray Jazz Festival, Stendhal, qmain stage slots at Forbidden Fruit and Life Festival. A further two sold out headline shows in Dublin’s Grand Social, a sold out show in Cork's St.Lukes , Limerick’s Prima Volta and Jago in London have cemented Cooks as a fundamental live act to the Irish music scene.

2023 saw the release of two successful singles "Secret Chord" and "Funeka" showcasing the wide variety of sounds the band has to offer. Each member brings their own flavour to the music, creating an overall unique sound. With over 1,000,000 streams on Spotify, highlights in Spotify's New Music Friday, Jazz UK, Breath Of Fresh Eire, Fresh Finds Jazz, Fresh Finds HipHop playlists and a selection of singles to be announced, Cooks But We’re Chefs is clearly a project made for both digital and in-person consumption.
