The Green Market are delighted to welcome our next fundrasing concert musicians:
Guitarist-singer Cesar Benzoni and double bassist Dan Bodwell present a program of jazz standards with a focus on the swing era and ballads.
Cesar, originally from São Paulo, Brazil, studied at the School of Jazz Guitarraleão and with other mentors like Nashville session guitarist Andy Reiss. With two decades of performing experience in Brazil, the U.S., and Europe, he has appeared on stages such as Exit/In (Nashville), Whelan’s, and the Grand Social (Dublin), Galway International Arts Festival, Doonbeg Jazz Festival, and TradFest. He also tours with the folk trio The Raines.
Dan studied classical bass at Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh) and jazz bass at the Hochschule für Künste (Bremen). Based in Ireland, he has performed with Frankie Gavin & De Danann, the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra, Nigel Mooney, Mary Coughlan, and the Francesco Turrisi Trio.
