Event Description

Contemporary jazz, post-rock and cinematic instrumental music from Norway

AADAL – Ireland & Northern Ireland Tour, november 2026 Norwegian instrumental quartet AADAL will be visiting Ireland and Northern Ireland for the first time this november, with concerts in Dublin, Bangor and Derry.

AADAL blends contemporary jazz, post-rock and cinematic instrumental music, with a strong focus on melody, atmosphere, dynamics and interplay. Led by guitarist and composer Michael Aadal, the quartet creates music that moves naturally between spacious, atmospheric passages and more driving, expressive sections, combining composed material with a strong element of improvisation.

The band’s sound draws on influences ranging from Bill Frisell, Brian Blade and Daniel Lanois to The War on Drugs and post-rock.

AADAL has toured extensively in Norway, Denmark, England and

Scotland, including two UK tours in 2025. The band has developed a strong reputation as a live act, with an intimate and dynamic approach that leaves plenty of room for interaction and spontaneity.Their latest album, Aggressive Hymns, Energetic Ballads, was released in February 2026 on Losen Records. All About Jazz described the album as:

“a band fluent in opposites, capable of fusing force and restraint into a coherent, compelling whole.”Ireland & Northern Ireland – November 2026
