Tadhg Leahy, guitar player and composer hailing from Drogheda, Ireland, is thrilled to tour his debut album, "Bodies of Water”. This instrumental guitar album traverses the genres of jazz, progressive jazz, and math rock, reflecting Tadhg’s diverse musical influences.
Written over the past few years, "Bodies of Water" is a vibrant collection that embodies the essence of the music Tadhg immersed himself in during his late teens and early 20s. The album pays homage to his inspirations—Julian Lage, Bill Frisell, and Wayne Krantz—all renowned New York-based guitarists.
What sets "Bodies of Water" apart is its thematic cohesion through raw, live trio performances. Recorded in a studio setting, each track aims to capture the spontaneity and energy of live music, offering listeners an authentic and immersive experience.
This album marks the beginning of a series of releases Tadhg plans to unveil over the next year and a half, showcasing his evolving artistry and dedication to his craft.
