‘Stop Motion’ is a newly formed collaboration of four passionate individuals coming together to celebrate their shared love of jazz. The collective combines a current student, two recent graduates and a seasoned professional together to play a variety of tunes.

Expect an afternoon of an eclectic selection of some of jazz’s best, with compositions ranging from the likes of Freddie Hubbard and Chick Corea, as well as classic jazz standards and original compositions.

The Kind of New Series are a collection of gigs funded by The Arts Council of Ireland. Bands are comprised of one established, professional musicians and three newly emerging artists. Performances are always full of excitement and enthusiasm from all involved.

The Kind of New Series is delighted to be bringing their work to the dlr Lexlon and in doing so making their gigs fully accessible and open to an audience of all ages. A perfect family afternoon out!

dlr Libraries along with the Arts Office form part of the Economic, Community and Cultural Development Department in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council. The county has eight branch libraries serving the educational and recreational needs of all who live, work or study in the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown area. Current library membership is 58,000 and continues to grow. 1.4 million books were issued last year.
