Event Description
Although at home in a variety of musical styles, Cork trombonist/composer/arranger Paul Dunlea concentrates primarily on Jazz and Improvisation. This has furthered his reputation as one of Irelands most in demand trombonists.
Dunlea has performed/toured/recorded with the likes of Mick Flannery, Richard Reed Parry (Arcade Fire), Bryce Dressner (The National), Lewis Nash, Peter Washington,Billy Drummond, Greg Gisbert,Tim Ries, David O' Rourke's O' Rourkestra, Marshall Gilkes, Ryan Keberle, and Taylor Eigsti.
Recently Dunlea performed alongside some of the biggest names in the New York Jazz scene commemorating the music of Frank Sinatra. The band, led by Irish born guitarist David O’ Rourke, played 8 sell out shows at the famous Jazz Standard Club. For this special concert Paul will be joined by fellow Cork-based drummer Tomas Gall, alongside one of Belfast’s most talented bass players Dave Marks, and pianist Scott Flanigan.

Each week the concert has different top musicians performing exciting and accessible jazz. The venue is specially setup to deliver the best atmosphere to hear Ireland's top jazz performers. Scott's Jazz Club is a Thursday night Jazz concert/ livestream event at Ballyhackamore club on No. 1 Sandown Road, East Belfast. The concert price is £15 and includes Bangladeshi finger food . The drink prices are really low as well!
