Event Description
Our last gig of the year and it’s going to be a good one! Described by the BBC as “Ireland’s King of the Blues”, Dublin-based singer/guitarist Nigel Mooney has been the leading figure on Ireland’s blues scene since the mid-1980’s when his legendary Gripewater Blues Band spear-headed the blues movement in Dublin, appearing with the likes of B.B.King and Lowell Fulson.
His most recent album, “The Bohemian Mooney”, which featured collaborations with Georgie Fame and the late, great guitarist Louis Stewart was The Irish Times Jazz Album of the Year 2013. Nigel will be joined by Scott Flanigan, organ; Dominic Mullan, drums.
Doors: 8:30pm
