Event Description
The International jazz sessions have been running for a number of years and feature some of Ireland’s leading talent in jazz and improvised music. Groups led by Cote Calmet, Sean Maynard Smith, Dominic Mullan, Paddy Groenland, Georgia Cusack & Alex Mathias are regular features with occasional guest players and bands from all over.
The music is always fresh and exciting, the crowds adoring and warm. A number of regulars have accumulated over the years so we’ve got a bit of a family thing going at this stage which we’d like to welcome you into!
The perfect spot for music lovers or “quiet pints”. Things can certainly get pumping depending on who’s up to play however and if there’s room we always like to see folks up showing appreciation through a little boogie!
If you haven’t checked us out yet, we apologise for your loss! Not to worry, these things are easily fixed! Come join us any Tuesday or Thursday night! Keep an eye out here for updates on who’s playing!
A cheap night out too… no entry fee, HOWEVER, the stellar musicians don’t get paid so we pass round a jar for tips, recommended donation is 5e but any contribution is very much appreciated in order to help cover transport costs, pints, etc. Spread the love and it comes right back!

Venue Information - The International Bar
The International Bar is a traditional family-run irish pub with a long tradition of offering the best in entertainment. Whether it's the informal and unexpected encounters between the many travellers and tourists who gravitate here, the ad hoc "seisiun" when someone pulls out a bodhran and a fiddle of a Sunday, or the unique 7 night weekly comedy clubs upstairs, there's always something happening and it's always worth dropping in.
