Event Description
Curated by Aengus Hackett Music, the #JAZZGate Series pays tribute to the greatest jazz artists and composers of all time,
as well as featuring local and visiting musicians - the absolute cream of the Irish Jazz scene.
To pay tribute to the wonderful legacy of Chet Baker, this concert will feature two very special guests.
Paul O' Driscoll is one of Ireland's busiest session bass players, having shared the stage with a who's who list of artists including Willie Nelson, Finbar Furey, Van Morrison and Sharon Shannon. Cool as a breeze, as a jazz vocalist he is in-demand all over the country and delivers his signature sultry sound with effortless ease.
Bill Blackmore is a jazz trumpet player/composer from Dublin, Ireland. He has toured with a number of high profile Irish acts such as Bell X1, The Stunning, Jerry Fish and Colm Mac Con Iomaire. He is a longterm member of improvised hip hop/electronica combo Mixtapes from the Underground and also jazz combo The Dirty Jazz Club based in Dublin.
