Shoshin (Eagerness, lack of preconception) is a newly formed band consisting of four highly experienced musicians from Limerick Clare and Tipperary These four individuals have come together to make some exciting new original music leaning heavily on jazz Improvisation with elements of traditional Irish and classical influences encompassing the use of loops and various motifs indicating a diverse range of new music entering the scene. An interesting venture which should make for an entertaining watch.
Stomptown Brass
Through countless festival appearances and a number of wild and wacky productions, they have built a reputation as one of the Ireland’s most unique and dynamic ensemble acts. Blending sweeping soundscapes, relentless rhythms, groovy drops and captivating visuals, the expansive band line-up of two Drummers, two Trombones, two Trumpets, sixteen hands, one Sax and one big filthy Tuba are known to blow a serious racket that’ll get any crowd on their feet.
