Zrazy are Irish vocalist/flautist/percussionist Maria Walsh and London saxophonist/pianist/composer Carole Nelson. They have released five studio CDs and one live in Columbus, USA, stretching to almost 4 decades.
Awards including:
- OutMusic USA Award for Best Album “Dream On” 2005
- USA GLAMA award for Best Song (2000) in NYC, USA.
- Irish Gold disc for No1 single ‘Ooh aah Paul McGrath for Italia ‘90
- USA Billboard Song Competition winners 1999
- Irish Smithwicks/Hot Press Critics award for Best New Band 1992
- Irish Arts Council Awards for contemporary composition. (2021, 2019, 2002, 1998).
Zrazy's music has featured in TV and film in Europe and America. Credits include NBC TV, UK's Channel 4, France's ARTE, Irelands RTE.Zrazy's music incorporates a range of influences, world/ jazz/celtic/dance/electronica. Their songs speak of love, sex, nature, politics, spirituality.Zrazy have performed at festivals and clubs all over Europe and North America, including EuroPride Berlin, Amsterdam, London for audiences of 100,000. However they are as compelling in an intimate setting as they are on the big stage.
They have produced 6 albums to broad critical acclaim in USA, Germany and Ireland, UK.
