Event Description
The Kobe Trio, formed in late 2016, is a piano trio based in Sligo. They came together through a love of improvised music, performing a blend of original, contemporary and classic instrumental jazz with an adventurous and passionate interplay.
The atmospheric harmonies are contrasted with interlaced rhythmic grooves and collective improvisations, combining the sounds scapes of Cinematic Orchestra with the syncopated rhythms of Phronesis and the jagged melodies of Thelonious Monk.
