Each month, Improvised Music Company hosts Cooler Clinic CPD events at The Cooler and/or online, offering musicians practical tools and conversations to strengthen their professional lives.
January 16th’s Cooler Clinic Online is your invitation to pause, reset, and launch into 2026 with clarity.
This extended online session is part vision-setting, part working session — giving jazz and improvised musicians the space to reflect, dream big, and make real progress on meaningful goals.
You’re encouraged to bring along:
- One lofty / long-term goal — something bold you’d love to realise in 2026 (e.g. recording an album, booking a European tour)
- One simple, achievable goal — the kind of thing that’s been sitting on your to-do list for too long (e.g. update your bio, finish a funding application, get your website current)
We’ll explore:
- How to work backwards from your vision and design clear next steps
- What makes habits stick for creatives and neurodivergent minds
- Body doubling, co-working and accountability
- Momentum > motivation, and how to generate it
Whether you want to launch a new project, clear some admin blocks, or simply get your year off to a focused start, this space is here to support you in doing it with others.
As always, you can also book a one-to-one consultation with a member of the IMC team on any area of your practice — from funding to touring to releasing music.
Attendance is free, but registration is required.
