The Kevin Brady Trio will bring an afternoon of jazz performance to the courtyard at IMMA. Led by jazz drummer and composer Kevin Brady, the trio features Scott Flanigan on piano and Cormac O’Brien on double bass. Set against the unique atmosphere of this historic open-air setting, the performance promises energy and nuance. The group will present a mix of original compositions alongside fresh arrangements of beloved jazz standards.
Audiences can expect a dynamic and engaging concert that blends creativity, rhythm, and improvisation.
Summer at IMMA presents a free music and performance programme in the beautiful surroundings of the IMMA Courtyard. Bring your friends and family along to enjoy a vibrant mix of atmospheric and engaging live events, all free of charge. Music in the Courtyard celebrates both emerging and established artists, offering something for every musical taste in a unique open-air setting.
This July and August, we are delighted to welcome a dynamic line-up of performances. Highlights include The Dawson Chorus, a 90-strong Dublin pop choir bringing beloved hits from the 70s to today; The Kevin Brady Trio, delivering an energetic and nuanced jazz performance; and Louise O’Connor, whose lively Céilí blends traditional Irish music, dance and wellbeing practices. Audiences can also enjoy Vicka, a Brazilian singer-songwriter whose intimate performances combine pop, folk and MPB influences; The Flanagans, a family ensemble celebrating rich Irish musical heritage with a modern twist; and Roots in Tune, a joyful intercultural collective inviting audiences to join in music and dance from around the world.
