Open to all kinds of new music drawn from jazz, European folk forms and contemporary classical ideas, NCH celebrates the trailblazing independent German label, ECM.
A pianist of great musicality and attention, Craig Taborn brings his hypnotic solo performance to NCH as well teaming up with Peter Evans for a duo set.
Pianist Craig Taborn has been hailed by DownBeat as "one of the visionaries of the current wave". Making his ECM solo debut with Avenging Angel, his first solo recording, Taborn found fresh things to say in a voice entirely his own. Taborn was made MacArthur Fellow in 2025, an honour he received for being “a rare artist of unusual depth and originality, who enhances musical collaborations and composition through his expansive exploration of sound, technique, and instrumentation”
Peter Evans is a composer, trumpet player, improvisor and bandleader based in New York City since 2003. Evans is part of a broad, hybridized scene of musical experimentation, and his work cuts across a wide range of modern musical practices and traditions.

Venue Information - The National Concert Hall
The National Concert Hall sits proudly on Earlsfort Terrace in Dublin’s city centre and is home to the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Choir Ireland, Irish Baroque Orchestra, Music Network and Music Generation. Next door to the picturesque Iveagh Gardens and in the heart of a commercial district known as the National Concert Hall Quarter, it hosts over 1000 events per annum. Its mission, to foster and celebrate the appreciation, knowledge, enjoyment and pure love of music as an integral part of Irish life.
