Join us at The Cooler for a relaxed Sunday evening as visiting Canadian trumpeter Paul Tynan joins Limerick’s John Daly, Joe O’Callaghan & Peter Hanagan for a dynamic set of originals and standards.
Player, academic and composer, Paul Tynan has won praise from The International Trumpeters’ Guild for his “creative genius”. He is a Professor of Music at St. Francis Xavier University in Canada and co-leads the “BiCoastal Collective”, with Grammy winning saxophonist Aaron Lington.
Tynan is playing a number of dates around Ireland this August alongside Limerick Jazz Society’s John Daly on drums, Joe O’Callaghan on guitar and Peter Hanagan on bass.
Tynan has performed with numerous jazz artists such as The Pacific Mambo Orchestra, Chris Potter, Michael Brecker, Randy Brecker, Jerry Bergonzi, Clark Terry, Bob Brookmeyer, Jim McNeely, Joel Frahm, and Matt Wilson.

Venue Information - The Complex
The Complex is run by creative artists. It is the new Northside arts centre. Since February 2009 it has staged a rich programme of artistic and cultural productions, exhibitions and events in the Dublin 7 area. From our original home in Smithfield Square to Benburb Street, our new permanent premises is located at Little Green Street, next to the old Fruit and Vegetable Market.
The new arts centre features nine artist’s studios as well as two performance areas, rehearsal and exhibition space.
