American saxophonist and composer Benjamin Boone a Professor of Music at California State University Fresno, came to collaborate with this all-star band of John Daly (drums), Joe O’Callaghan (guitar) & Dan Bodwell (bass) while serving a U.S. Fulbright Scholar at the University of Limerick’s Irish World Academy of Music and Dance in 2022-23. This show features tunes created for the newly recorded album Confluence : including “The Clash of the Ash,” “She Moved Through the Fair,” and “On the Banks of the Shannon,”and other great new compositions. Organ Freeman – Irish jazz organ trio
Organ Freeman specialises in the music of the bebop and hard bop idioms of the early 1950s and 60s. Playing standards by composers such as Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins, Wayne Shorter, and many more in the classic organ trio format.
Fiadh Rua Gregg is a vocalist, songwriter and voice teacher working across Ireland and Scotland. Fiadh creates and performs in the band Shy Mascot, with whom she has played at various festivals and venues such as All Together Now 2023 and Bray Jazz Festival 2024. Since 2022, Gregg has performed in a trio with Elspeth Tugwell (Guitar) and Lara Sweeney (Piano, Saxophone) at venues such as The Jazz Bar, Edinburgh, and at Edinburgh Arts Fair 2023.
