On this edition I remember the work and life of pianist Randy Weston who sadly passed away in September but who thankfully left some wonderful music behind and I am looking back at his extraordinary career as one of the most visionary Jazz pianists and composers of our time, deeply inspired by his ancestral African connection, which he integrated with the ground-breaking ideas of Bebop created by his idol and influence Thelonious Monk.
