Event Description
Blooming Rooms is a new collaborative project shaped by the idea, echoed recently by Marina Abramović, that artists can shift collective energy through intentional creation. Instead of flowers as objects, this trio cultivates sonic blooms.
Vocalist-producer Dorota Konchevska, bassist/guitarist/producer Maciej Bliziński, and drummer/electronic artist/producer Chris Hokamp each bring a distinct architectural language: voice and electronics; harmonic design across bass and guitar; and rhythmic systems. Not quite jazz, not quite electronic, not quite improvisation, but a living field between them.
They enter the workspace as three separate rooms. Each carries its own weather: Dorota’s fractured live vocal loops and electronics, Maciej’s low-end bass and guitar with electronics, Chris’s shifting rhythmic architecture and impossible drumming.
Blooming Rooms is what happens when these rooms are opened to each other where shadows mix, and new shapes grow.
