The Richie Buckley Quartet return to their Thursday Night Residency Jazz Gig at Frank Ryans Pub in Smithfield.

A revolving roster of jazz and blues acts featuring some of Ireland's finest musicians from Richie Buckley and Chris Comhaill to Ben Prevo and Karl Clews. Expect fabulous music as the perfect backdrop to your Saturday afternoon.

Purple Dayz’ is the latest project from renowned Irish jazz guitarist Hugh Buckley. On the night, he and the band will be performing the music from the brand new album release 'Hugh Buckley’s Purple Dayz'.

Smiodair is an international quartet with roots that go back over twenty years. Drummer Dave Smith and saxophonist Robin Fincker first played together at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, going on to co-found the Loop Collective in London in 2005 — a venue, festival and record label that became a hub for the UK and European creative music scene. Their long creative partnership continued through Outhouse, the Ruhabi project and Splice, accumulating a body of work that spans jazz, improvised music and West African rhythm traditions.

The Dirty Jazz club have been a massive part of the Dublin Jazz scene for around 15 years. Their focus is on the exploration and deconstruction of songs and an emphasis on creating a depth and textural soundscape on the melody, form and feel of the tunes.

Drawing on music from the likes of Chet Baker, George Benson, Frank Sinatra and some 50s and 60s hard-bop alongside a broad mix of music from the jazz tradition.

Classic jazz piano trio format from the reknowned Carole Nelson Trio

The Carole Nelson Trio debuted at the 2015 Dublin Piano Trio Festival. Centred around Carole’s composition and piano work and accompanied by Cormac O'Brien on bass and Dominic Mullan on drums, the trio have since recorded four albums.

Join Dreamland Swing Band for an evening of high-energy gypsy swing every Sunday at Mother Reilly’s Pub, Rathmines. This Dublin-based band brings the infectious rhythms of Django Reinhardt-style jazz to life in a cosy pub setting. Great music, good vibes, and the perfect Sunday soundtrack!
