Tales from the far Side 05.04.2018 Mostly in Blue with a bit of Blue in Green

On this edition we stay MOSTLY BLUE and asking the question, "why is the colour BLUE so common and so deeply connected with Jazz, in lyrics, song titles, as statement of emotions and even used in names of record labels.

And there will be music by Duke Ellington, Bud Powell, Miles Davis, George Cotsirilos, Joe Henderson, Dianne Reeves, Billie Holiday, Serge Charloff, Louis Armstrong and others.

TALES FROM THE FAR SIDE is live on air on CRC102.9fm and on www.crcfm.ie every Thursday 8-9 pm with a repeat on Saturday 9-10 pm. And there is a podcast of the show available on the web site all through the week. The show has established itself over the years with a small but devoted listenership (even beyond Jazz-fans) and since the introduction on internet the listenership extended nationally and internationally.

A day without Jazz is boring!
