The RTÉ Concert Orchestra presents an evening of soul classics from the 1960s in brilliant new arrangements by jazz supremo Guy Barker. Amazing vocalists Vanessa Haynes and Ashton Jones join the RTÉ CO for a set featuring a special tribute to the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin with songs including I Say a Little Prayer, Son of a Preacher Man, Walk On By, Natural Woman and Respect. We’ll also have hits from Stevie Wonder, Al Green, Eddie Floyd Sam Cooke, Donny Hathaway and Ray Charles, among them A Change is Gonna Come, Georgia on My Mind, Someday We'll All Be Free and Knock on Wood.

Venue Information - The National Concert Hall

The National Concert Hall sits proudly on Earlsfort Terrace in Dublin’s city centre and is home to the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Choir Ireland, Irish Baroque Orchestra, Music Network and Music Generation. Next door to the picturesque Iveagh Gardens and in the heart of a commercial district known as the National Concert Hall Quarter, it hosts over 1000 events per annum. Its mission, to foster and celebrate the appreciation, knowledge, enjoyment and pure love of music as an integral part of Irish life.
